The best way to start making money online is by being an affiliate marketer. Affiliate marketing is your best bet for a no cost start-up business in the Internet marketing industry.

All you have to do is sign up for free for the affiliate networks like Amazon, Commission junction, Linkshare and Clickbank. And then once you sign up promote the products you are an affiliate for. When you get visitors who just look at your site and do not purchase anything is a lot like window shopping. If you want to make money online then you have to get those visitors to convert the “lookers” into “buyers.” It sounds like it is simple to do.

Well, it is if you pay attention to the details. Here are 12 traffic conversion tips that someone new to Internet marketing can do:

1. Refine your Unique Selling Proposition (USP). What makes the product you are selling different, special, better or more desirable? That’s what you need to improve on.

2. Be friendly, not too obvious that you want to make a sale. You need to write like you are talking to your friend and you can’t wait to tell them about what a great product this is and where they should go to get it. .

3. Ask for help. Give your readers a reason to interact with you by asking for their opinion with a poll or a product rating. When you interact with your visitors, you can get useful information and keep them thinking about your product longer.

4. Make your offer simple. If you have three different products to sell, use three websites. Don’t make the mistake of offering to many things at one time. This only works for the big retailers, but you have to remember that they already have a brand and a following.

5. Make your sales page easy to read. Write your sales copy with wide margins. You don’t have to fill the whole page. Leaving some spaces in between your articles and offers helps the reader to better focus on the copy.

6. Brag about your product or the product you are promoting. If your product has reviews or testimonials from satisfied  buyers, then let them brag about the product for you. Post your testimonials on your website for your buyers to see.

7. Use lots of bait. In your article, put out some “bait” for your offer and do so over and over.  Don’t leave out the bait. It’s much better to have lots of offers so you can convert that buyer who is still isn’t sure yet.

8. Solve problems. When you are finished with your sales page always think about other problems that your product can solve for your visitor. A good way to find out how to solve more problems is to ask your buyer by posting a poll. Have the buyer answer questions.

9. Don’t highlight too much. Yes, bright colors attract attention but don’t get too crazy with it or get obsessed with colors, it’s too distracting for your readers.

10. Bonuses or Free with purchase is very effective. After you have written about your offer,  make it even better for your buyer and when they purchase something from you include a free items as part of your deal. Do some Limited time offers and create a sense of urgency for the buyer to act on.

11. Don’t be afraid to ask for the order. An old way of making a sale that shouldn’t be forgotten – ask for the order, ask over and over. You can’t ask too many times.

12. Say “Thank you.”  Always thank your buyer. Write an email with the order confirmation that say’s thank you for the order. It never hurts to show your customer that you appreciate the sale. Especially if you have an online store.

Learn What It Takes To Be A Successful Affiliate Marketer

Many new entrepreneurs don’t allow themselves to become successful because they get comfortable. They don’t realize that they can be so much more successful!  Are you like that? Have you heard other affiliate marketers talking about making thousands each week when you are barely making a few dollars?

Study what your competition did that made them successful. Don’t think that your competition is smarter than you are or that they are better than you. Next, do something a little extra. Everyone likes a bonus. So after you offer the main product, sweeten the deal with a little something extra that most marketers often offer.

It’s kind of like when you hear a infomercial and they say : “But wait! There’s more!” which is a line used to seal the deal, and to make sure that the buyer purchases more product.

You want to offer the product and then bring on the extra. You have to make your offer something that your visitor really wants and he or she can’t get it without buying the product.

Create A Buzz

You also want to make sure you get people excited about your offer so that they will spread the word about the bonus offer as well. Not only do you let the general public know about the offer, but you also make sure your list knows that there’s a special deal waiting for them if they buy.

Creating a sense of urgency causes excitement. You don’t want to have a product that no one knows about. While word of mouth works, creating a sense of urgency will boost your products expectation and that will bring more people to come see what it’s all about. This is my review of Fiverr and what I think of this website and why it’s a really easy and fast way to make money. I am a seller on Fiverr and wanted to share with you how much I love this website. You can do it too and make money at home.

I have made some extra cash on Fiverr and it’s helping me pay some bills. On Fiverr it’s pretty easy to write what they call a gig (advertizement) , all you do is write a gig of what you will do for $5. Your gig can be making a video for someone, write articles for someone, you can sing songs, give advice, help promote someone elses website on social websites and much more.

This is a great place to start a business and get some exposure for your work as well, and since everything is only $5 you don’t have to worry about people trying to get your gig for a cheaper price.

#1 is E-bay! I know… you are probably saying Ebay? Really? I don’t like Ebay or I don’t have time for that, but really it’s very easy to list stuff on Ebay and it’s quick money when you are in a pinch. What I recommend is to start by selling stuff you don’t want anymore, kind of like a virtual garage sale. Really, people will buy anything on Ebay. I sold a mountain bike recently and got $540.00 within a week!!

#2 Surveys – Take online surveys and make money from home! This is a real way to make money online. I have been doing this for years! You can make anywhere from $2 per survey to $100 per survey. It just depends on whether you meet the requirements of the  group of people they need for that particular survey.

What Surveys are in a nutshell is, big companies want the opinion of average people, so that they can market their new product or service. And, that’s where you come in. You apply (free) as a survey taker and then they send you surveys via email. You answer a couple of questions and when you are finished answering the questions you submit your answers and you get compensated. Simple.

This is very easy and you can make a pretty good living at it. But, there is one catch. It is time consuming. So, if you have the time to take these surveys then you will want to do this as a work at home job.

#3 Paid To Read – Another really easy way to make money from home is called PTR (Paid to read). This is an old but still easy way to make money. Others leave because of office politics or low pay despite all their hard work. Some people leave a job because they’ve decided that it’s time to move on and be their own boss. Maybe you are planning a future being your own boss but you’re wondering how to exit your old job gracefully.

The first thing to remember is to never burn bridges. I know that you want to just let it all out and tell them how unhappy you were or are, but you never know when you might need your old boss as a reference in the future, so make sure that you leave on a good note.

Give a two-week notice and clean everything out of your inbox to make it easier for the next person who will work in your old position. Gather all of the contact information from business partners and customers so that you can stay in touch with those you like and also to form new loyalties in the future with your own business.

Remember that it’s important to wait until you have some money saved up. While it’s great to dream, you can’t pay the mortgage with a dream. It’s a good idea to get the finances in order before you say goodbye to your boss. Plus, you don’t want the stress of finances bothering you.

New business owners do not think about is to pay their bills and utilities a few months ahead of time. It’s a good idea to put away enough money into your savings account to help you out while your business is in it’s early stages. You’ll be glad you did it!

Selling products on Ebay is an great online business because you do not have to build your own e-commerce site, and you can start part-time and grow your business as large as you want.

I have done some Ebay selling too, and I can tell you for a fact that it is possible to make money on Ebay, but you will have to do some research first and educate yourself.  You just need to get your hands on some good, solid information to get started. There are a lot of books that have been written on this subject.

If you are serious about Ebay selling, I strongly recommend you read Ebay books and surf  Ebay’s site to see what’s selling. Many people have made their primary income through online auctions.

To get started sign up for a free Ebay account and then open a free PayPal account. This will make transactions go a lot smoother. Research other websites or auctions similar to yours to get ideas on how to market your product.

Join an affiliate training program to learn how to make money based on sales you make through referrals. If you have a blog or website that gets decent traffic, this could work out great! You can make good commissions selling other peoples products by simply placing your affiliate link on your personal web pages. Sign up to an affiliate network for free and begin affiliate marketing , you can sell ebooks, sell software, artwork, phone cards, event tickets, cds, posters, books, t-shirts and almost everything else you want to sell.

A note to everyone:  Don’t expect to get rich with any of these work at home businesses that I have suggested. Working at home is like the workplace where most people make an average income. But, with some effort and if you stick to it you can make a good living working at home.When you are working from home don’t give up your day job at least not when you first get started because it will take some time to make money.

My advice: Don’t give up! Keep your attitude positive and know that you will be successful if you really apply yourself and take the time to educate yourself!

The Internet is always changing, and new products and ideas are being created everyday that give you  the opportunity to work at home and to sell a unique product or information to hungry buyers despite having competitors that are in the same niche as you.

There really isn’t any way for a niche to become fully saturated. When there is hungry market there’s always a way to come up with a new idea for an old idea. Magazines do this all the time. Whenever you see an article that a writer has published, that writer has to come with a fresh new idea on an old idea.

Something to think about is trying a new niche like something you already know a lot about, and use this as your niche. Are you good at Gardening? Do you love dogs? Are you good with finances? Whatever you are good at or whatever you enjoy doing you can turn into a niche to sell products or information!

Here is an idea you can use. When you have a specialty or an interest that you are good at and you decide to use this as your niche you can write a book or a guide on how other Internet Marketers can do the same.

To determine if a niche has a lot of competition, visit affiliate network sites like ClickBank and see how many products are available for the idea you have as an Internet marketer.

If you see several e-books on Internet Marketing, ask yourself, “Could I come up with a better way of doing this?” Sometimes all it takes is thinking about it as an expert in a particular niche. It can’t hurt to give it a try. You might find that you will succeed over your competitors and the customers will want someone new to take over with fresh new information.
