Many new entrepreneurs don’t allow themselves to become successful because they get comfortable. They don’t realize that they can be so much more successful!  Are you like that? Study what your competition did that made them successful. Don’t think that your competition is smarter than you are or that they are better than you. It’s just that they found what worked and then kept promoting it until the profits started rolling in. So how did they do it and how can you copy that success?

You have to know what to promote. Just because you like a product doesn’t mean that it will sell , so don’t just look for products that only you like.

Instead, research what the hot selling products are and look for the products that will give you a higher profit return. For example, 10% of a $1,000 product is $100 in your pocket. But 50% of a $100 product is just $50 in your pocket, so don’t always think about the percentages. Think about the total profit.

Once you find a good item to promote, start to focus on marketing one product and stick to that one product. Talk about it on your website, do a review on your blog, write articles about it, bring it to the attention of the public on Facebook, Squidoo, Hub Pages, Google + and on other social media sites.

Go The Extra Mile

Next, do something a little extra. Everyone likes a bonus. So after you offer the main product, sweeten the deal with a little something extra that most marketers often offer.

It’s kind of like when you hear a infomercial and they say : “But wait! There’s more!” which is a line used to seal the deal, and to make sure that the buyer purchases more product.

You want to offer the product and then bring on the extra. You have to make your offer something that your visitor really wants and he or she can’t get it without buying the product.

Create A Buzz

You also want to make sure you get people excited about your offer so that they will spread the word about the bonus offer as well. Not only do you let the general public know about the offer, but you also make sure your list knows that there’s a special deal waiting for them if they buy.

Creating a sense of urgency causes excitement. You don’t want to have a product that no one knows about. While word of mouth works, creating a sense of urgency will boost your products expectation and that will bring more people to come see what it’s all about. Do a count down until the product releases and once it goes live, let your customers race out of the gate to be one of the first buyers. Or make it for a limited time only!
