Say Goodbye To Your Job And Be Your Own Boss

When you leave a job, is not easy. There are plenty of reasons that people leave their jobs. Some leave their jobs because they’ve outgrown the work and are no longer interesting to them.

Others leave because of office politics or low pay despite all their hard work. Some people leave a job because they’ve decided that it’s time to move on and be their own boss. Maybe you are planning a future being your own boss but you’re wondering how to exit your old job gracefully.

The first thing to remember is to never burn bridges. I know that it’s tempting to finally get everything out that you have been holding in, but you never know when you might need your old boss as a reference or as a networking opportunity, so make sure that you leave on a good note.

Give a two-week notice and clean everything out of your inbox to make it easier for the next person who will work in your old position. Gather all of the contact information from business partners and customers so that you can stay in touch with those you like and also to form new loyalties in the future with your own business.

Remember that it’s important to wait until you have some money saved up. While it’s great to dream, you can’t pay the mortgage with a dream. It’s a good idea to get the finances in order before you say goodbye to your boss. Plus, you don’t want the stress of finances bothering you.

One thing that a lot of new business owners do not think about is to pay a few months ahead on all of your financial responsibilities like utilities and credit cards . It’s a good idea to put away enough money in savings to support yourself while your business is in it’s beginning stages. You’ll be glad you don’t have that pressure.

Being your own boss is exciting, but it can also be trying if you’ve never had your own business before.  Always have some kind of marketing plan for your business and put it to work.

Remember that most businesses don’t see profit overnight. But with patience and dedication you will succeed. Remember the contacts you had? Now would be a good time to tell them about your new business.

Don’t buy into the myth that you have to spend a lot of money to make money. Your business budget shouldn’t be spent on lots of things for the office or advertising. Stick with the basics in the beginning. Try to look for all of the low cost and free ways you can take to build your business.

You don’t have to spend money to make it. Have a business plan and stick to the plan. You might even consider hiring someone to help keep you from making some of the mistakes that start up businesses commonly make.

Start a Website

Find something that you know a lot about and are passionate about and start a website. You can build it up as your business becomes more profitable. The key is to do something you know a lot about or are passionate about otherwise it can be hard to stay motivated.

If you have a lot of knowledge about something, you can write and sell e-books about the subject that you know about. If you are really good at making crafts or gifts, start a website selling your creations. Whether your love is for interior design, baby clothing, wedding favors, or fishing and camping gear.

Whatever you choose, be sure to purchase a domain name and get going. If you are not sure you know how to set up your own website, you may need to hire someone to help you. But keep in mind that all business’s have start up costs.

I personally like Go Daddy to buy my domains. They are reliable and have sales all the time on domain names.

Selling products on Ebay is an great online business because you do not have to build your own e-commerce site, and you can start part-time and grow your business as large as you want.

I have done some Ebay selling too, and I can tell you for a fact that it is possible to make money on Ebay, but you will have to do some research first and educate yourself.  You just need to get your hands on some good, solid information to get started. There are a lot of books that have been written on this subject.

If you are serious about Ebay selling, I strongly recommend you read Ebay books and surf  Ebay’s site to see what’s selling. Many people have made their primary income through online auctions.

To get started sign up for a free Ebay account and then open a free PayPal account. This will make transactions go a lot smoother. Research other websites or auctions similar to yours to get ideas on how to market your product.

You can write your lens about whatever you want it to be about. Write about what you are passionate about, write what you know about. Whether it is about vanilla scented candles or if it is about how to build a rocket. It doesn’t matter what you write your lens about as long as you are having fun. Isn’t that cool? Be an Affiliate

Join an affiliate program and make money based on sales you make through referrals. If you have a blog or website that gets decent traffic, this could work out great! You can make good commissions selling other peoples products by simply placing your affiliate link on your personal web pages. Sign up to begin affiliate marketing and you can sell ebooks, sell software, artwork, phone cards, event tickets, cds, posters, books, t-shirts and almost everything else you want to sell.

A note to everyone:  Don’t expect to get rich with any of these work at home businesses that I have suggested. Working at home is like the workplace where most people make an average income. But, with some effort and if you stick to it you can make a good living working at home.When you are working from home don’t give up your day job at least not when you first get started because it will take some time to make money.

My advice: Don’t give up! Keep your attitude positive and know that you will be successful if you really apply yourself and take the time to educate yourself!

Is The Internet Marketing Niche A Saturated Niche?

Do you believe that the Internet Marketing niche is too saturated? I don’t believe it is. If you can create new ideas, then you can definitely succeed just as well as the others did who may have given up on the idea long ago. Just put a new twist on that same idea and you have a hit!

The Internet is always changing, and new products and ideas are being created everyday that give you  the opportunity to work at home and to sell a unique product or information to hungry buyers despite having competitors that are in the same niche as you.

There really isn’t any way for a niche to become fully saturated. When there is hungry market there’s always a way to come up with a new idea for an old idea. Magazines do this all the time. Whenever you see an article that a writer has published, that writer has to come with a fresh new idea on an old idea.

Something to think about is trying a new niche like something you already know a lot about, and use this as your niche. Are you good at Gardening? Do you love dogs? Are you good with finances? Whatever you are good at or whatever you enjoy doing you can turn into a niche to sell products or information!

Here is an idea you can use. When you have a specialty or an interest that you are good at and you decide to use this as your niche you can write a book or a guide on how other Internet Marketers can do the same.

To determine if a niche has a lot of competition, visit affiliate network sites like ClickBank and see how many products are available for the idea you have as an Internet marketer.

If you see several e-books on Internet Marketing, ask yourself, “Could I come up with a better way of doing this?” Sometimes all it takes is thinking about it as an expert in a particular niche. It can’t hurt to give it a try. You might find that you will succeed over your competitors and the customers will want someone new to take over with fresh new information.
